We've had a ridiculous quote from our OPC for replacing these as they are leaking. We don't use the ac much so its not the end of the world. We were wondering if anyone else had these replaced and if these were Audi parts and if we should take it to an ac specialist instead? We previously had a bad experience with a local independent so we won't be going there.

Euro car parts have condensers for £77 each, fitting plus a re-gas should come to about £500

Thank you we'll give it a try. It's certainly much cheaper.

Haven't got round to it yet. I was thinking of trying Paragon and see what they say using these parts. I suppose now it's getting warmer I should get moving on this. I'll post on here how I get on, they've been leaking for years but the aircon still works........

Thank you for the reply , my story is similar to yours , I picked up my new to me pride and joy from a dealer a fair way away , it was a warm day but raining heavily , as I drove out of Nottingham and onto the motorway I closed the windows and cranked up the air con , just warm air came out of the vents .
When I got home I studied the paperwork and found that there was a report on a leaking condenser.
I wasn’t really that bothered at first but the more I have bonded with the car the more bothered I have become that there is something that isn’t working as it should .
I have a friend who works in a garage near me so I am going to get the system re gassed and take it from there .

Cheers .

Mike .

Ok , had my A/C system re-gassed at my friends garage , all working fine and dandy so far .
He said it hadn’t been working for some time because loads of crud came flying out when the fans kicked in .
He put some dye in too so we can pin point the leak , at least it’s not the lines , fingers crossed :occasion5:
